How does Nourkrin® WOMAN work?
Nourkrin® WOMAN helps establish and maintain a normal, healthy HAIR GROWTH CYCLE.
The Normal Hair Growth Cycle
...has 3 phases:
1. Growing Phase (Anagen)
Approximately 85-90% of hair is actively growing at any given time.
Average duration: 3 years, but can be longer.
2. Transition Phase (Catagen)
Approximately 1% of hair is in this phase at any given time. The hair’s nutrient vessel, the dermal papilla, disconnects from the follicle and brings the growth phase to an end.
Average duration: 1-2 weeks only.
3. Resting Phase (Telogen)
Approximately 10-15% of hair is in this phase at any given time. Once the hair reaches its full growth potential, it sits inactive in the follicle until released. The follicle then produces a new hair, thereby beginning a new growth phase and completing the cycle.
Average duration: 3-4 months.
The Disrupted Hair Growth Cycle
Regardless of the hair growth disorder (hair loss/hair thinning), the Hair Growth Cycle is almost always affected; resulting in a ‘Disrupted Hair Growth Cycle’.
This often results in the following consequences:
A. Prolonged Resting Phase
As more hairs enter the resting phase prematurely, the normal resting phase becomes prolonged; leading to increased hair shedding. A prolonged resting phase means fewer hair follicles re-entering the growth phase and resulting in weaker or no re-growth at all (this is known as a dormant hair follicle).
B. Early Transition Phase
When the growth phase is shorter, the hair follicle enters the transition phase earlier than normal.
C. Shortened Growth Phase
The duration of the growth phase is shortened and the entire Hair Growth Cycle becomes affected.
Supporting the normal Hair Growth Cycle is essential
Nourkrin® works together with the normal Hair Growth Cycle and helps support the overall life and function of hair follicles, especially if there is an imbalance.
Nourkrin® should be taken for a minimum of 6 months for maximum benefit.
